Now, two modders are working on their own graphical improvements for the PC version of Resident Evil 4.

'With the release of the Ultimate HD version, we have confirmation that while some textures have been upgraded, the majority haven't,' states the Resident Evil 4 HD Project's website. 'It seems safe to say that an official 100% across-the-board HD revamp of the game isn't coming anytime soon, so now is the time to do this.'
Cris and Albert aim to improve all the textures in Resident Evil 4, including those in Mercenaries and Ada's side-story minigame Separate Ways. Their process involves scaling up textures 8-16 times their original resolution and then redrawing them.
So far, the mod includes HD-enhanced environmental textures for the whole village section of the game, which you can download from the mod's official website.
